Amazing People of New Life

2025 was another record-breaking year for New Life and 2026 has some exciting events planned for you all to get involved all over again!

One of our largest sources of income is from the many events organised by our amazing volunteers. There really is something for everyone. You can take your pick and take part in the many sporting challenges and activities that we host such as Tennis, Golf, Cycling, Canoeing, Swimming or Walking. If sport is not your thing you can help us by joining in and having fun at our social events such as our Annual Ball in November, or one of our many music concerts and festivals.

21st November 2026

New Life Special Care Babies proudly announces its Annual Charity Ball, dedicated to raising funds for premature and critically ill babies. Join us for an elegant evening of dining & dancing. All proceeds support vital medical care. Please reach out to book a ticket- Tables of 10 or 12.

4th October 2026

Join us for “Run Forest Run” as they host their flagship charity event of the year and unleash your inner athlete! Greenham Common, Berkshire – Sunday 5th OctoberRunners, families, and supporters are invited to lace up for a cause as the Greenham Half Marathon with all proceeds going to New Life Babies, a charity dedicated to supporting critically ill and premature newborns across the UK. Set against the stunning backdrop of Greenham Common the route offers participants scenes of past significant landmarks from Greenham Common’s Cold War history, providing a unique and memorable experience.This year’s event promises to be the biggest yet, with hundreds expected to take part to raise funds and awareness for New Life Babies’ vital work in neonatal care. In addition to the main race, the event will feature a cannicross & refreshements—making it a true community day out. Should you wish to go the extra mile, our splash of purple campagin returns again. Pledge to raise £50 in return for purple running t-shirt on the day. The Newbury Triathlon is one of UK’s most legendary sprint triathlons. It takes place in Newbury, Berkshire. The 2025, 39th edition, will take place on the 6 September 2026 hosted by Newbury Velo. We have 10 spaces to complete this on behalf of New Life babies so if you are interested please do get in touch.

14th August 2026

Join us for a memorable day of golf, generosity, and community spirit at the prestigious Donnington Valley Golf Club. Set in the heart of Berkshire, this stunning venue provides the perfect backdrop for a friendly yet competitive round of golf, followed by a celebration of the incredible work done by New Life – Special Care Babies. This charity golf day brings together supporters, local businesses, and golf enthusiasts to raise vital funds for New Life, an organization dedicated to improving the care and comfort of premature and critically ill babies across the UK. Every swing and every step taken on the fairway helps make a difference in the lives of these tiny fighters and their families. Event Highlights: Dress Code: Smart golf attire during play. Smart casual for dinner. Whether you’re playing to win or simply to support a great cause, this promises to be an inspiring and enjoyable day for all. Your participation helps provide specialist equipment, family support, and resources for neonatal units across the country.

4th July 2026

Taking on 30km adventure around the lake district. Paddling from Glenridding and Pooley bridge on a double or single Kayak and then hiking up Hallen Fell to raise money for special care baby units accross the UK. If you would like to take part in the challenge, please do get in touch, we would love to hear from you.

Join us for a Charity Golf Day at Bearwood Lakes in support of New Life Babies. Enjoy 18 holes on this beautiful course while helping raise vital funds for newborns in need.

26th-28th June 2026

A unique way to explore the historical significance of the D-Day landings and the Battle of Normandy. These tours typically involve cycling through the region’s countryside and coastal areas, visiting key historical sites like the D-Day beaches, museums, and memorials.

31st May 2026

Join us for the Hungerford Harey 8 miler, a professional fitness event that challenges participants to push themselves to new limits. Get ready to sweat and succeed! A unique run with time to enjoy views of the Kennet & Avon Canal and lovely surrounding countryside set up by “Run forest run”

10th May 2026

A unique run with time to enjoy views of the Thames and lovely surrounding countryside.  The Beale Park Run is a multi-distance event held at Beale Park, Lower Basildon, Reading, RG8 9NW. Participants can choose from 2.5km, 5km, or 10km routes, all clearly marked and marshalled for safety. All finishers receive a commemorative medal. There is ample free parking on-site. ​If you would like to take up a space please do get in touch as we would love for you to represent New Life Babies and help raise vital funds to help care for sick and premature babies. We have 20 spaces up for grabs. It really is a great family day out for all.

9th & 10th May 2026

Join the Tough Mudder iconic challenge and run for New Life babies. It’s the ultimate test of strength, grit, and determination.

Join us for 24 hours of challenges and fun, raising funds for New Life Special Care Babies. SPORTathon 2026 is for everyone. Sign up for spinning, swimming, tennis, or yoga. Bring your family for games and face painting. End the day with PARTYathon—a night of music and food, all for a great cause. SPORTathon stands as one of our largest annual fundraising events, generating an average of £40,000 each year to fund a dedicated project for a local Berkshire, Wiltshire, or Hampshire hospital. Join us in making a meaningful impact!
