Our Trustees

Trevor Goodall
Trevor Goodall is the CEO and founder of Newlife Special Care Babies, a charitable organisation dedicated to supporting vulnerable infants and their families.

Paul Homersham
As a lifelong friend of Trevor Goodall, he has been involved in New Life from its creation over 30 years ago and became a trustee more recently. He enjoys most sports and has taken part in golf days and numerous other endurance events. Paul completed the Devizes to Westminster which is the world’s longest Canoe Race twice in aid of New Life. Otherwise he is a useless individual who’s main contribution to the team is his stunning good looks.

Steve Dopson
Steve Dopson has built a distinguished career in electronic component distribution, starting in 1994 with one of Europe’s largest independent distributors. By 2000, he had played a pivotal role in the company’s growth, helping it become a top-ten global independent distributor and holding the position of worldwide vice president.
In 2006, Steve was approached by Azego AG to help relaunch the company in the UK, which he accepted. Azego TS Ltd reopened its doors in January 2007. Following a management buyout in 2008, Azego TS Ltd became an independent entity, thriving under Steve’s leadership. The company grew significantly, employing 50 people worldwide with offices in France, Italy, and Southeast Asia.
Beyond his professional achievements, Steve is a dedicated family man with four children, including two young ones who keep him on his toes. Despite his busy family life, he is an avid golfer, managing to maintain a seven handicap despite limited practice. Additionally, Steve has pursued a lifelong ambition of car racing, competing in the Ferrari Challenge UK series. In an impressive debut, he achieved third place in his first season, marking a remarkable start to his motorsport career.

Natalie Bealing
Born and brought up in West Berkshire, I have always had a strong sense of community. I spent more than 25 years volunteering at The Corn Exchange Newbury as well as serving as a Governor at several local schools.
I am proud to be a Trustee of New Life Special Care Babies. I enjoy supporting as many fundraising events as I can.
I started as a volunteer at Kennet Radio in the summer of 2024 and I’m working behind the scenes, using some of my event management and comms skills in a new environment.
Since taking early retirement from my main career, I now devote some of my week to a Parish Council (as Parish Clerk), amongst other things.
In my spare time I enjoy anything creative, from photography, needlework and painting, to working with glass and metal.

David Newham
David has supported New Life Special care Babies for the past 20 years, participating in golfing and cycling events. With a strong background in business transformation, he believes his expertise will help bring fresh ideas to the table, driving further events and fundraising efforts.

Ashish Naik
As a trustee of New Life Special Care Babies, I’m proud to support a cause so close to my heart, having been born prematurely myself (1.88 kg, 5-6 weeks premature, 5 weeks in hospital).
I first connected with the charity through their cycling fundraising events, and was blown away by their impact. With a background in technology, business, and strategy, I’m passionate about helping them grow and enhancing the impact we have on premature babies and their families.

Des Kelly
Born and raised in Newbury, Des Kelly has deep roots in the local community. He is married to Alison and is a proud father to two sons, Declan and Fergus. Since 2001, Des has run a local dental laboratory, building a reputation for quality and reliability.
Des has been close friends with Trevor for over 40 years, a friendship that began when they worked together as apprentices. In 2005, he became a trustee of NewLife, and since then, he has played a key role in organizing and participating in numerous NewLife challenges and fundraising events.
This spring, Des took on the New Life Kilimanjaro hike for his love of adventure—continuing his long-standing commitment to the cause and love for a good challenge.
