On Saturday 13th August a team of 15 stalwart New Life supporters took to the water for a kayaking challenge on Loch Lomond successfully paddling 24 miles of the beautiful open water.
The weather was glorious and the team were all in excellent spirits. The team was made up of all ages, including Millie, Emily, Live, Eden and Lucy who is off to UCLA for a rowing scholarship in September so the day must have been a breeze for her!
Thanks also goes to the support crew and volunteers including Kev Haynes who was at the wheel again to get everyone there safe and sound! Thanks Kev!
The team set out to raise £5,000 and by the end of the weekend had reached almost 80% of the target, getting to £3,600. All the money raised will buy additional neonatal equipment for units across the South.
The fundraising page is still open and donations can be made via https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/lochlomondkayaking
Thank you to everyone for yet again a wonderful fundraising challenge and weekend.
