Running the 2021 London Marathon

Andrew Mitchell, (Mitch) from Hermitage ran the London Marathon on Sunday 3^rd October, raising £3500 for the charity, New Life Special Care Babies.

Mr Mitchell completed the marathon in 4 hours, 18 minutes, and 19 seconds.  Donations for his challenge came in from Australia, Germany, Singapore, Malaysia, USA, Netherlands, and Norway.   Mr Mitchell said, “I have played in the charity golf days for many years but decided to push myself and run the prestigious London Marathon.  I love supporting this fantastic charity and the pain was worth it for the wonderful donations it generated!”

CEO Trevor Goodall said, “we are now focusing on bringing a well-known figure on board as Ambassador to help us take the charity to the next level and to reach the next £1m.”
