Herongate Club in Hungerford has successfully completed its first charity cycle challenge, taking participants on an inspiring journey from the club all the way to Rome, Italy—all in support of New Life Babies.
Open to riders of all abilities, the ambitious event brought the community together as participants collectively cycled the equivalent distance from Hungerford to Rome. Through determination, teamwork, and a shared commitment to a meaningful cause, the group not only completed the challenge but also raised over £2,000.
Funds raised will go directly to New Life Babies, a charity dedicated to providing essential equipment and support to neonatal units, helping premature and critically ill babies receive the best possible care.
A spokesperson for Herongate Club said: “We’re incredibly proud of everyone who took part. The effort, enthusiasm, and generosity shown have been outstanding, and it’s fantastic to see our community come together to support such an important cause.”
Following the success of this inaugural event, Herongate Club hopes to make the charity cycle an annual fixture, encouraging even more people to get involved and make a difference.
